How to Start a Trial
In order to trial Live Assist ensure that your organization meets the minimum requirements and your user has the correct roles to install Live Assist for Dynamics 365. First, in your office portal ensure that your user is a global administrator:
Note: Ensure your installing user has a configured first and last name in Office 365 as blank names lead to a # substitution in Dynamics 365 and this break Live Assist. All Live Assist enabled users should have both first and laast names.
Now in Dynamics 365 go to the Settings menu and select Security:
Go To Users:
Select your admin user and "Promote to Admin"
To install Live Assist you need to ensure that your user accounts has Global Admin privileges. To do this you need use the promote to admin button
You can check they are an admin user from the list of Enabled Users and going to Manage Roles
Inside Manage User Roles ensure that System Administrator is checked.
Note: Enabling Live Assist Roles in this area is not supported.
It is necessary to log out and then back into Dynamics 365 to ensure any changes to the Account propergate correctly.
You are now ready to install Live Assist. Please go to our Microsoft AppSource Portal Page Live Assist for Dynamics 365 Powered by CaféX and click Free Trial.
Please accept the terms and conditions and click continue.
Choose which organisation you wish to add the application to, and agree with the terms.
Now, fill out the form to set up Live Assist.
Note the checkbox below the email address field: "Install Live Assist Powered by CafeX for Unified Service Desk". If your organization does not intend to use Unified Service Desk (USD), you can safely ignore this field. If you do intend to use Unified Service Desk, then you have two options:
- Install Live Assist for Web Client First. Leave the box unchecked, and submit the form. Allow the provisioning process to complete. Then, provision the USD, return to this form, check the box and resubmit.
- Install Live Assist for Web Client and USD simultaneously. Leave this page, and provision the USD. Then, return to this page, and you should find the checkbox enabled (you may need to refresh). Check the box, and submit the form.

Within a few minutes, an email will be sent to the specified address containing further instructions. Follow these instructions to complete the provisioning process.
